Autumn 2025 at Kazerne Dossin

19.09.2025 Museum

Breng dit najaar een bezoek aan Kazerne Dossin. Doorheen de herfstmaanden organiseert Kazerne Dossin verschillende evenementen die een bezoek extra betekenisvol maken.

Temporary exhibition: Sport and sportspeople in KL Auschwitz

Sport had a double meaning in the concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz. It was a way to survive, but also a form of oppression. Discover this lesser-known story until 10 December at Kazerne Dossin in the exhibition Sport and sportspeople in KL Auschwitz.

Museum Pass holders can join free guided tours of the exhibition on Sunday 19 October and Sunday 2 November.

27.11 Lecture by Andrea Pető

On 27 November, Andrea Pető will speak at Kazerne Dossin about new forms of “Holocaust distortion” and what we can do to counter them.
According to Pető, antiliberal forces are attempting to establish an institutional system of illiberal Holocaust studies and, in her view, they are succeeding. Her lecture therefore centres on the question of how we can respond.
Pető is Professor of Gender Studies at the Central European University in Vienna and Doctor of Science at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. For years, she has researched gender, politics and the Holocaust, often focusing on overlooked topics.
