Summer vacation at Kazerne Dossin | Summer 2025

10.06.2025

This summer, plan a meaningful visit to Kazerne Dossin. Between July 1 and August 31, a range of special activities will make your visit to the museum and memorial even more memorable. The activities are suitable for children aged 9 and up.

Can you hear what Ruth hears? (activity in Dutch)

This summer, discover the story of Ruth Klein at Kazerne Dossin. During World War II, she was imprisoned in the Dossin Barracks along with her sisters.
Follow in her footsteps, search for hidden sounds, and learn more about the memorial at Kazerne Dossin.

Every name matters during the summer holidays

Throughout the summer, the recording booths for Every name matters will be open more frequently. Sign up and come record a name from Thursday to Sunday. On Thursdays and Fridays, the booths are open in the afternoon; on weekends, they are open all day.

After participating in Every name matters, you’re welcome to visit the permanent exhibition free of charge. For more information about the project, visit the Every name matters page. Registration is available through the online planner.

Temporary exhibition: “Sport and sportspeople in KL Auschwitz”

In the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp, sport held a double meaning. It was both a means of survival and a tool of oppression. Discover this lesser-known story now at Kazerne Dossin in the exhibition Sport and sportspeople in KL Auschwitz.
