Family Trail: Simon’s Story (ages 8 to 12 – offer only for Dutch and French speakers)
Simon was eleven when he and his mother were deported from the Dossin Barracks to Auschwitz. But he never arrived there… Simon managed to jump from the train and escape. The interactive family trail ‘Simon’s Story’ takes children and their guardians through the museum.
Memorial Quest (ages 8 to 12 – offer only for Dutch speakers)
Through a commemorative trail, discover the story of thousands of Jews and Roma deported from Mechelen to Auschwitz-Birkenau. The quest is designed for children and tells a story of remembrance and hope in this special place.
Every name matters (ages 9 and up)
Join ‘Every name matters’ and record a name with your children. By recording a name, we commemorate the 25,843 victims deported from Kazerne Dossin and keep their memory alive. Together, we erect a monument for everyone who was murdered.
