June 3, 2025 – Today, Kazerne Dossin published its 2024 annual report. The organization reports that 67,510 people visited the museum and memorial last year. In addition, the research center processed 1,365 digital requests.
“Every name, every face, reminds us that there are people behind historical facts − lives that were brutally cut short but should not be forgotten. We commemorated, examined and created scope for dialogue, always with one objective in mind: to not only preserve but also try to understand the past and give it meaning for the present and the future. Each initiative was an invitation to reflect on what went before and how it impacts our society today. In a world in which human rights are increasingly under pressure and mass violence appears to be the order of the day, this quest remains urgent: to look back, understand, connect and − with the courage of despair − continue to hope.” Tomas Baum, General Director Kazerne Dossin
