Kazerne Dossin continues to passionately search for and identify new portraits. This resulted in 51 new faces last year.
During the annual Portrait Ceremony, we pause to remember the Holocaust victims who were deported from Mechelen. In particular, we commemorate those for whom we found a portrait in the last year. This Ceremony could be carried out physically in 2021. We also like to provide a video, however, so that you can also remember these people at home.
In the meantime, we continue the quest. 4 out of 5 victims deported via the Dossin Barracks have already been given ‘a face’.
